ENERGY
By Seye Oyeniyi

Projects are conceived. Ideas are thought. Innumerable desires lies beneath the heart of many.
What makes some dreams become reality while others don
t?
What makes some complex tasks get done why others of probably simpler and smaller size don
t get
done?
A lot of reasons could be summed up for all these: availability of resources (human, financial, tools
etc.), managerial capabilities of team and few other reasons.
However, there is a basic underlying principle that determines even the above determinants to
fulfilling any form of desire: tangibles (physical projects and goals) and intangibles (e.g. emotional,
relationships etc)
This is ENERGY.

Energy is everything
Energy is enthusiasm
Energy is life
Energy is love
Energy is giving

Energy determines the whole course of things. A house composed of people who have a low energy level will be devoid of happiness and positive experiences.
An organization with a weakling, sad looking receptionist and surly staff or crew combined with a
weary CEO, or Pilot cannot get to the heights.
Even though energy is an intangible, it
s a very visible force that its presence or absence can be felt
immediately.
It cannot be faked. It just has to be there to be felt.
It cannot be hidden either. Hiding energy requires a conscious effort of depression and suppression,
this is harder than creating energy.

It
s not a matter of beauty, nor size/weight of body/organization.
Energy is just a radiating force that amuses and excites everyone around it.
The presence of abundance energy makes for creation and execution of ideas, projects and
whatever is desired.
Working without energy is like a clog in the wheel. It
s like trying to ask a girl out but you are sick,
hungry and sad.
Energy is what gets anything done.
Energy as a person or in an organization can be consciously created, sustained and increased.
Follow on as we share some few tips on living a life of continuous realization of dreams, possibilities
and joy:

1. Find your spark
Discover and recognise what thrills you, what inspires you, what is that thing that you do
happily, easily and you don
t care that time is going.
Discover it, nurture it and grow in it.
In your passion lies your key to greatness. Living your passion makes the world a fun place to
live.
Staying in a job or environment you hate could make living miserable, even if you are in a job
or environment you hate but you are there to survive, you must recognise it
s a temporary
mode and you must begin to devise plans to moving to your desired state.

2. Take charge
Yes, take charge; you need to consciously take charge of yourself (that
s your most
important organization) then you also take charge of whatever other space you control;
office, home etc.

3. Cultivate enthusiasm
Nothing GREAT was ever achieved without enthusiasm-Emerson.
Enthusiasm is the spark that lights the flame of positive action.
It
s a feeling of intense emotion that compels us to take a cause.
Never let go of your happy disposition. There will be challenges in job, relationships, family
etc. this is no excuse to projecting a frown look or letting yourself get weary.
Never get pissed even in the ugliest situation, find a reason to be pleased.
Whether you are in a board meeting, midst of friends, sharing a story, making a presentation
or probably just listening. Inject some enthusiasm in whatever you do, no matter how little,
menial or even serious your tasks seems.
Enthusiasm creates positive experiences which ignite energy in us and around us.

4.
Create and attract
Living a life of your desires is a conscious effort. Create dramas, share good moments with
your loved ones and you will be creating a lasting energy that attracts more joy and fun in
every area of your life.
The thing about energy is that it is stimulating and catchy, once you know what it
s like to be
passionate about something deeply, you
ll infect other things with the passion as well.
